Education at Eye Bray

Education is at the very top of our list at Eye Bray Limited. We feel it’s vital to keep up to date with all those things that affect us and our clients. It’s no mean feat as the world of compliance is full of things to be aware of. How do we do it? In short, listening.

From what we hear we then get subject matter experts from within our network to signpost ways in which we can find the information we need. If our clients want to follow the information we have found, we refer them on to the appropriate expert that matched their ethics and ethos.

The Importance of Learning

If we hadn’t found a way to make fire, we would be the people we are today. In fact, as the “modern” world transversed the globe through the 16th to 18th centuries we found people with different skills to those that “we” had. Some taught us things that were adopted, and some were ignored, not always for the good of humankind (but that’s a story for another day).

We wouldn’t be the people we are today without the pioneers of yesterday blazing trails and developing new things and new ways of making them better and quicker.

In today’s marketplace progress isn’t always as easy to spot, but there is always opportunity to improve ourselves by learning about and doing new things. Many larger corporates have a minimum number of hours of continuous development as part of their employee proposition – and that can only be a good thing.

Prove What You Know

Constant learning is a thing for us at Eye Bray. We’re not, gladly, a large corporate, but the premise of continual improvement is as important to us as a large corporate. To us it also means we can prove what we know.

In today’s competitive world, providing assurance that we have taken the time to get, and maintain, qualifications is an important part of our proposition. Does it give us any competitive advantage, we don’t truly know. We do know that we are perceived as a trusted source of information and professional support.

Maintaining that knowledge helps us to keep our support relevant to our customers. We keep revising exactly what we can provide and partner with those that provide expertise where we do not have it. Guess what. We only use those who can prove they know what they know.

Industry qualifications are even more important than degree qualified people. Gaining a degree proves you can learn. An industry qualification proves you can apply your knowledge in your field of expertise – normally anyway.

Professional Paartners

We know we don’t know everything. Which is why we handpick partners that our client needs for those things where we can only provide strategic support. We are not trained lawyers, accountants, IT Professionals, HR consultants, etc.

Knowing our limits helps us to keep on track and provides our customers with the most relevant information for their situation. We never match any of our clients with a professional partner that does not have the knowledge to help them. Nor with one whose ethos does not match their own.

Everything needs to fit so that our customer has the best experience and the result for them.

Where they have their own preferred partners, we work with the to bring the requirements we see to the fore. There hasn’t been a situation where we couldn’t work with a professional partner to get our customer with the result they need.
